I am member of following committees of the Deutschen Gesellschaft für Geotechnik e. V. since 1996:

- soil mechanics and geotechnics

- soil mechanic and

- rock mechanic

 

Furthermore I am working in following Working Groups (Arbeitskreis):

- AK 1.4 "soil dynamics",

- AK 1.6 "numerical methods in geotechnics" and

- AK 2.8 "small diameter displacement columns"

The German Institute for Standardization e. V. is the most important national standardization organization in the Federal Republic of Germany.

The International Society for Soil Mechanics and Geotechnical Engineering is the International Society of Soil Mechanics and Geotechnical Engineering.

There I work as a German representative in the Task Group CEN / TC 250 / SC 7 / WG 3 / TG 7 "Ground Improvement" on the revision of the Eurocode 7.

From 1998 to 2015 I was employed at the company Keller; most recently as Head of Corporate Services and the R&D division of Keller Europe, Middle East and Far East.
Even today, we cooperate in collaborative research projects.

From October 2013 to September 2015, I was a lecturer at the TU Dresden in the field of soil mechanics and foundation engineering, subject foundation engineering and tunneling in loose rock.

 

 

 

 

From October 2013 to September 2015 I was a lecturer at the University of Applied Sciences Erfurt in the field of heavy foundations.
Since October 2015 I am working as a professor in geotechnics at the University of Applied Sciences
                                                              Erfurt.

 

      I feel very close to the town of Gräfenthal since the acquisition of the castle Wespenstein in 2002.
